Autori ukazuju na neke teškoće u primeni Evrokoda 8 EN 1998-1:2004 u inženjerskoj primeni ovog dokumenta za potrebe saobraćajnica. Saobraćjanice su objekti niskogradnje ali predstavljaju i složene tehničko tehnološke sisteme dok se zemljotresna regulativa odnosi pre svega na objekte visokogradnje.
